Jiayuan Liu of Beijing Graduates From Worcester Academy #AcademicExcellence #realLEARNING

Worcester Academy held its 182nd Commencement Exercises June 3 with 162 seniors graduating. Among the graduates was Jiayuan Liu of Beijing.

The commencement speaker was Worcester resident Peter Roberts, a longtime history teacher and coach, who retired at the end of this school year. Mr. Roberts, who is well known to students and alumni alike, has taught at Worcester Academy for the last 32 years. He has coached Soccer and Track & Field.

Also speaking were Valedictorian Martha Kebeh of Worcester and Salutatorian Varun Nair of Bolton.

The Allan Glazer Memorial Science Award: Bekbolat Abdikanov of Kokshetau, Kazakhstan.

Marc D. Levine '84 Lifer Award: Hannah Kreh of Ashland.

William W. McAlpine Award: Julia Harvey of Hopkinton.

Neil W. Peters III Award: Varun Nair of Bolton.

Cole Porter 1909 Visual & Performing Arts Award: Garrett Kasper of Westborough.

H.G. Rader Grant: Martha Kebeh of Worcester.

Donald "Dee" Rowe '47 Award: Arpan Bose of Marlborough.

George T. Sargisson Class of '27 Award: Kevin Marfo of Bergenfield.
