WA's Kaz Grala Is Advancing Quickly In The World Of Auto Racing

2014 Mar 17

Worcester Academy's honor student Kaz Grala, Grade 9, of Westborough is carrying out his passion and making his dreams come true by quickly making his way through the auto racing world. Kaz has played many sports, baseball, soccer, etc., but he says he never really loved any of them the way he does racing.

See the CBS Boston television newsstory On Kaz. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2014/02/07/at-just-15-westboroughs-kaz-grala-a-rising-star-in-motorsports/

By any measure, Kaz has been extremely successful in the racing industry. By the age of 10, he had already won 100 Bambino kart races. In 2012, he won 15 races and finished off his Legends racing career by winning in the Winter Heat Championship. Kaz's success continues to grow as his racing career takes off. When he won a 150-lap race at "The World's Most Famous Short Track" in North Carolina, he became the youngest winner in the United Auto Racing Association series in history. Recently, Kaz became the youngest driver to compete at International Motor Sports Association. He also recently signed with Turner Scott Motorsports and will be racing the track with them when the NASCAR's top development series begins.

His father, Darius, is also an extremely successful race car driver and it seems those skills have been passed along to Kaz. He says he couldn't have gotten to this point in his life without the help and support of both his parents.
