Wentao (John) Zou Helps WA Math Team to First Place Princeton University Win #excellence #mathletes #stem

Worcester Academy's 2013 High School Math Team won First Place overall in the Princeton University Mathematics Competition recently. Wentao (John) Zou of Worcester, Class of 2014, played an important role on this years math team. The eighth annual competition was held Nov. 15-16. The Academy has attended the competition three times in the past, but has not attended since November 2009.

Worcester Academy also took third place in the Power Round, a one-week, 14-page, multi-part question requiring complex reasoning. This year's topic was knot theory. Altogether, WA students received seven top-ten awards for its eight participating students.
